Chili For The Big Game-What Are You Cooking For The Super Bowl?

OPENING ALERT: Hatfield’s Opens With A Fresh New Look And Fully Stocked Bar

Phone: 323-935-2977 Status: Open today Not like you didn’t ready know this, but today Hatfield’s finally reopened its new, much more spacious digs on Melrose. Paying homage to the Beverly original, local designer Alexis Readinger of Preen Design sought to preserve that feeling of intimacy that the first space captured so well while adding unexpected elements of nature like a “living wall” covered in airplants and epiphytes, a linen chandelier that spells out the chemical components of honey, and an oversized cement-casted apple situated in a planter box. While the market-driven California/French menu has been expanded and now offers three dining experiences from a la carte dishes to a seasonal prix fixe to chef’s tasting menus, the big draw is the full bar headed by GM and beverage director Peter Birmingham (Pourtal)
