Two metro Detroit restaurants have launched efforts to aid Haiti’s earthquake victims. The La Feast Middle Eastern restaurants in Livonia and Royal Oak will donate 10% of their sales Monday through Thursday to the Bush-Clinton Haiti Fund, says owner Moe Afifi.

Not smarter than an eighth grader, but somehow smarter than me…

Tonight’s quiz featured a battle between the musical-knowledge haves and have-nots, with the three top teams jokering superb 2nd round results, and more or less maintaining that lead throughout the game. A crushingly difficult round 8 kept the other teams from making the jump at the last minute.

We were there two months ago when the theme was chosen , “Dreams Do Come True” – the drawing shown tonight comes from the concepts displayed that night by young Hi-Yu enthusiasts, including Junior Court members: Tonight’s meeting also was scheduled to include a decision on this year’s button design – we’ll let you know when we get word of that
