Arancini con Mozzarella

This is more or less one of the most delicious little snacks you could ever hope to make. It takes some time but the effort can yield a very bountiful result.  One aside, when it comes to naming this little crunchy delight. Suppli, as hey are called in Rome, typically contain red sauce and mozzarella

Trussardi 2010/11 autumn-winter collection

I don’t know if it was a coupe of theatre or just the economic crisis, but last week in Milan Trussardi 1911 replaced the conventional parade of male models on the catwalk with mannequins! So at first it was a bit strange to move about those soulless dummies, but then when I got the chance to take a closer look at them, I was quite pleased with what I saw. Trussardi’s nod to artisanal fabric treatments obviously made a difference and one couldn’t help falling in love with those grey tartan shirts (worn with pinstripe trousers) and elegant suites! Unforgettable Fine Dining at Door County’s The Inn at Kristofers

Artful chicken roulade with ligonberry sauce Door County, Wisconsin may be known for casual, Midwestern cuisine but The Inn at Kristofer’s supplies a decidedly upscale version of Door County dining.   Perched on the waterfront next to the picturesque Sister Bay Marina, the restaurant is elegant and understated with  white tableclothes and floor to ceiling windows.  Executive chef Terry Milligan cooks up fresh and innovative dishes based largely on local produce and influenced by French cooking traditions. The menu changes seasonaly and according to availability but on the arctic December night that I visited, the menu featured grilled salmon, chicken roulade with ligonberry sauce and grilled duck breast with blueberry pinot noir reduction and seafood sausage with grilled prawns and risotto.  Each arrived in an artistic arrangement, my chicken roulade resembled a vibrant art display, with bright orange carrots and green beans accenting the red ligonberry sauce.
