Perhaps they have taken the comments here to heart but the staff was very forthcoming about vegan options. There were three options (besides the sorbet) the day we dined at Kyotofu: a soft serve “sundae” and a chocolate cake w/ coconut sorbet. Both were amazingly delicious and beautifully prepared

The first time I heard of Jowar Roti was when I was on a trip to India and staying in Bangalore . I read in a blog that the “Jolad rotti oota” in Kamat Minerva (at Minerva circle) in Bagalore was absolutely amazing.

I’m re-reviewing this place with a heavy heart. I was so into them when they first opened, and for a while after that, but they’ve really dropped the ball in recent months. The food is now often luke warm when it comes out, the tempeh and grilled veggie fillings have both been blah when I’ve gotten them in tacos, and the service has been atrocious! Like, crazy frazzled waitstaff and occasionally surly to boot! I think they did themselves a disservice when they doubled their space and expanded their hours

This month the Adopt-a-gluten-free-blogger Event is being graciously hosted by Thomas of the GFCF Experience . With his help, I actually had time to adopt a gluten-free blogger this month! I met Ali of Whole Life Nutrition Kitchen at the Blogher Food ‘09 event .

It makes me mad when I hear relatively recently diagnosed Celiacs talk about how they haven’t had pizza or bread since diagnosis… or that when they have had it, they didn’t enjoy it. It is not that I am mad at them- far from it! No, I’m mad at a society that equates bread products with gluten, and mad at companies that create allergen-free bread completely lacking in taste or appeal that scar these poor souls so dreadfully that they vow off bread entirely

got an email back from them today: “the veggie burger is vegan, just skip the avocado spread, it’s got cream cheese in it; we don’t have the earth mother but have dozens of veg toppings; the linguine broc is perfectly vegetarian, but almost all pasta has egg yolk; the pizza dough is only flour, yeast, salt & oil. Also check out our Louisiana red beans ‘n rice and our blackbean chili, both are vegan! thanks Piper” [More about Two Boots Brooklyn | More from daniellegeist ]

When Diane of the Whole Gang suggested that this month we have an Oscar theme for our Gluten-free Progressive Dinner, I was both excited and perplexed. I’ve never held an Oscar themed dinner party. What could I make

This Tuesday I realized I had eaten most of my store of gluten-free baked goods left over from my adoption of Karina, the Gluten-free Goddess, so I decided to spend a few hours baking up a replacement store. I made her English Muffins , her Irish Soda Bread , and tried a new recipe for un-rye bread .

It has been quite a few months since I had the courage to participate in my Adopt-a-gluten-free-Blogger event . I have always been quite devoted to the idea of following my fellow bloggers’ recipes as written the first time around, and my limited ingredient options during the past few months made this difficult to say the least. However, being top eight-allergen free and rice shy at the moment, it occurred to me that the one blogger who might have options for me was our own Allergic goddess, Karina.
