An Eater SF tipster has found a benefit to Yelp’s new Foursquare-like check in feature for restaurant owners : “If you have an iPhone, you could join Yelp, log in on your phone and see who in the dining room is ‘checked in.’ Users who are ‘checked in’ may not be there to review, but you could certainly make a mental note of whatever they experience and then keep an eye out for their review.” [Eater SF]

But yes, he was there last week to tour the Pier 1 facilities along with the owners of Red Hook’s destination restaurant The Good Fork , mini Asian chain Rice , Dumbo’s Superfine , and at least 30 others (and one blogger plant ).
